Psalm 119:9–16 — How Can a Young Person Stay Pure? By Guarding Life With Your Word

“How can we, Lord, Remain pure in our ways? How can our hearts stay true, In a world that pulls us away? By turning our gaze to Your Word, By walking in the light of Your precepts, By shaping our lives According to Your truth.” “With all my heart, O Lord, I seek You, I long for Your presence, I thirst for Your wisdom. Do not let me wander from Your commandments, Neither through ignorance nor willful disobedience. Keep my steps firm in Your Word, And guide my heart to Your ways.” “Teach me, O God, to treasure Your Word, To store it deep within my heart, That I may not sin against You. Your statutes are life to me, They are my guide, my foundation. Help me, Lord, To live a life that reflects Your precepts, To delight in Your commandments And conform my will to Yours.” “Blessed are You, O Lord, Worthy of all praise and honor. You have shown me the path of life, And in Your statutes, I find joy. Teach me Your ways, For without Your guidance, I would surely lose my way. Thank You, Father, For the richness of Your testimonies, For the treasure of Your Word Stored in my heart. In You, I find all I need, And I rejoice in Your truth As much as in all riches.” “As we seek You, O Lord, We are not alone. We walk this path together, Brothers and sisters in faith, Encouraging one another To follow Your commandments. Help us to proclaim Your ordinances, To speak of Your truth With boldness and love. Let our lips declare Your wisdom, And let our lives bear witness To the goodness of Your precepts. In our community, Lord, May we meditate on Your Word, May we thoughtfully consider Your ways, And may we rejoice together In the riches of Your testimonies.” “In every moment, Lord, I will meditate on Your precepts, I will keep my heart fixed on Your Word. When doubts arise, And when the path seems unclear, I will trust in Your faithfulness. Your commandments are my anchor, Your ways are the path of life. I will delight in Your statutes, For they are my guide and my comfort.
