Psalm 119:33–40 — Teach Me Your Statutes With an Undivided Heart

“Teach me, O Lord, The way of Your statutes, And I will follow them, Steadfast and faithful, Until my days are complete. Guide me, so I may observe Your law, With all my heart, Willing and undivided, A heart ready to learn Your ways.” “Give me understanding, Lord, A heart that is teachable, And the wisdom to discern Your will. For Your commandments Are the path I long to walk, A way I delight in, A way that brings peace and life. Make my steps steady In the path of Your truth, So that I will not stumble On the distractions of this world.” “Incline my heart to Your testimonies, Turn me away from dishonest gain, From envy, from selfish desires, That draw me away from You. Keep my eyes fixed on what is eternal, And not on the empty promises Of fleeting things that fade. Turn my eyes from vanity, From distractions that pull me Into the world’s noise. Restore me, Lord, with renewed energy In the way of Your truth, That I may live for You alone.” “Establish Your word in me, O Lord, confirm Your promise, For it is Your word that I trust, And it is Your promise That stirs my soul to awe. I am Your servant, Dependent on Your grace, Longing for Your direction. Turn away the reproach I dread, Take away the shame and guilt That burden my heart. For Your ordinances are good, They are life and light to me.” “As Your servant, Lord, I am not alone in this walk of faith. We, Your people, Together seek Your ways. Incline our hearts, as one, To Your testimonies, That we may walk in unity, Bound by Your truth. Help us to encourage one another, To lift each other in this journey, As we follow Your commandments, Rejoicing in Your word.” “I long for Your precepts, I hunger for Your righteousness, For it is through Your truth That I am renewed. Even in times of uncertainty, When the world shakes, Your word remains firm. I trust in Your promises, For You are faithful. Renew me through Your righteousness, And keep me close to You All the days of my life.” “Thank You, Lord, For Your unfailing word, For Your commandments That light my path.
