Psalm 119:17–24 — Open My Eyes to Behold Wondrous Things in Your Law

“Deal bountifully with me, Lord, For I am Your servant, Longing to live by Your Word, Day by day, treasuring it within, Guided by its wisdom, Shaped by its truth.” “Open my eyes, O God, Unveil the hidden wonders in Your law, Show me the depth of Your spiritual truths, That I may see clearly The path You’ve laid before me. For in this world, I am but a stranger, A traveler in a land not my own, Do not hide Your commandments from me, For without them, I am lost, Without them, I wander in darkness.” “My soul is overwhelmed, Lord, Crushed with longing For Your ordinances, Desiring them at all times. Let Your Word be my anchor, Your precepts my guide. In a world full of pride and arrogance, Where so many turn away, Rebuke those who stray, Who, in their presumption, disregard Your ways. But as for me, I cling to Your testimonies, I hold fast to Your Word, Even when the proud speak against me, Even when the world looks down upon me.” “Take away from me, O Lord, The reproach and contempt I may bear, For I seek to honor You, To observe Your testimonies In all that I do. I rely on Your grace, Your abundant goodness, For without it, I cannot stand. You are my strength, my hope, my confidence. Thank You for Your Word, Thank You for Your truth, For in them, I find peace and joy.” “Though the powerful may conspire, Though princes may speak against me, I will not be shaken. For I am not alone in this journey, Your Word connects me With all who seek You. Together, as a community of faith, We meditate on Your statutes, We stand firm in Your precepts, And we encourage one another To walk the path You have set before us. Your testimonies unite us, And in them, we find delight.” “Your Word is my counselor, O Lord, In every season, in every trial, It is my guide. When doubts arise And challenges seem too great, I turn to Your testimonies, For they speak of Your faithfulness, They declare Your promises. I find my refuge in Your statutes, My comfort in Your commandments. No matter the trials I face, No matter the opposition, I will delight in Your Word And trust in Your faithfulness.” “Thank You, Lord, For dealing bountifully with me, For revealing the wonders of Your law. Help me to live by Your Word, To meditate on Your statutes, And to delight in Your testimonies, Now and forevermore, I pray, Amen.”
