Psalm 119:113–120 — You Are My Hiding Place; I Love Your Law

“O Lord, I come before You, Humbled and aware of my heart’s inclinations, I detest the double-minded, Yet I treasure Your law above all.” “You are my hiding place, My shield in times of trouble. In You, I find refuge, And I wait expectantly for Your word, Seeking wisdom and guidance as I navigate my days.” “I call upon You, Leave me, you evildoers, That I may keep the commandments of my God, Honoring and obeying them without distraction. Uphold me according to Your promise, So that I may live, And let me not be ashamed of my hope, A hope anchored in Your great goodness.” “Uphold me, Lord, that I may be safe, That I may regard Your statutes continually, Finding strength and sustenance in Your truth. For You have turned away from those Who wander from Your path; Their deceitfulness bears no fruit.” “You have removed the wicked of the earth like dross, Rendering their ways without value. Therefore, I love Your testimonies, For they are my delight, my guidance, and my truth. May I share this love with those around me, Encouraging them to seek refuge in Your word, To stand firm against the temptations of the world.” “My flesh trembles in reverent fear of You, Acknowledging Your holiness and justice. I am filled with awe before Your judgments, Recognizing the weight of Your authority, And yet I find peace in Your unwavering love.” “Thank You, Lord, For being my hiding place and shield. Help me to treasure Your law in my heart, To remain steadfast in my commitment to Your ways, And to walk in the light of Your truth always, in your awesome name I pray, Amen.”
