Psalm 119:49–56 — Remember Your Promise; Your Word Revives Me in Affliction

“Lord, my gracious God, Remember the word You gave to Your servant, The promise in which You planted my hope. In Your faithfulness, I trust and wait, For Your word has been my anchor, The foundation of my hope.” “In times of affliction, It is Your word that revives me, Breathing new life into my weary soul. When the proud mock me, Their ridicule sharp like arrows, I stand firm, for Your law is my guide, And I do not turn away.” “Let me not forget, O Lord, Your eternal ordinances, Those ancient laws That have withstood the test of time. They have brought me comfort, For Your ways are unchanging, And Your will, unshakeable. Teach me to walk in them, and to delight In the path You have set before me.” “Even when indignation burns within me, At the sight of those who reject Your law, I find solace in Your statutes. Your words are the songs I carry in my heart, Sung in the house of my pilgrimage— A melody that gives me strength For the journey.” “Together, we remember Your name In the quiet of the night. When darkness surrounds, We turn to Your law, Finding light and peace. As Your children, We join in obedient love, Cherishing Your precepts, And accepting them as our gift From Your grace.” “In the stillness of the night, I call to mind Your name, Holding fast to Your promises. No matter the trials, I will observe Your precepts, For they are my lifeline, The constant grace That keeps me steadfast.” “Lord, Your word has been my comfort, In every season, in every affliction.
