Psalm 119:81–88 — My Soul Faints for Your Salvation; When Will You Comfort Me?

“Lord, my God, My soul is weary, Longing for Your salvation; I wait in anticipation for Your word.” “With eyes strained, I look for the fulfillment of Your promise, Asking in my heart, ‘When will You bring comfort to my spirit?’ In the shadows of despair, I feel like a wineskin, Blackened and shriveled, Yet I hold fast to Your statutes, For they are my strength and refuge.” “How long must Your servant endure, This burden of waiting, While those who oppose Your ways, prosper? I cry out to You, When will You execute judgment On those who persecute me, Who have dug pits for me in their arrogance, Those who disregard Your law?” “In the face of lies and deception, I cling to Your commandments, Knowing they are faithful and trustworthy. When I am attacked, Lord, Help me stand firm, For my heart does not turn away from Your precepts. Even when it feels like the world conspires against me, I trust in Your unfailing love.” “Lord, I lift up my struggles to You, For I know others share in this longing, In this pursuit of righteousness. May we encourage one another, Reminding each other of Your faithfulness, As we walk together in Your truth.” “I ask for Your steadfast love to refresh me, To bring new life to my weary spirit, So that I may keep and obey Your spoken testimonies. In the midst of trials, let my heart remain resolute, Finding hope in Your promises, And may my life be a testament To the strength from Your unwavering grace.” “I entrust my fears and doubts to You, My Rock and Redeemer. In every moment of weakness, I seek Your guidance, And in every breath, I praise Your name. May Your love be my anchor, And may I always find solace in Your presence, this I pray faithfully, Amen.”
